Two related but different jobs

Fuel polishing generally circulates fuel through separation and filtration equipment to remove certain suspended contaminants. Tank cleaning focuses on accumulated material on the tank bottom, walls and internal surfaces.

Why filtration alone may not be enough

Sediment, sticky sludge or contamination trapped in corners and baffles may remain after fuel circulation. Once disturbed, deposits can re-enter the fuel stream.

When physical cleaning matters

A tank with substantial sludge, water or persistent contamination may require access, removal of residues and proper waste handling. The method depends on tank construction, access points, contents and safety conditions.

Choose the approach after inspection

Sampling and inspection help determine whether polishing, cleaning or a combined service is appropriate. Marine vessels, standby generators and heavy equipment can have very different operating patterns and contamination risks.
